| Leadership Chief Executive Officer, Karsten Solheim Karsten Solheim Karsten L. Solheim is the driving force behind Teacher's Pal's mission. Solheim founded Teacher's Pal after a wide and varied career that included eight years as Founding Chairman of one of Arizona's most successful private K-12 schools. Solheim will guide Teacher's Pal through the launch of the company's next-generation software release in January 2005. The new release will bring the company closer to Solheim's vision of software that empowers educators to fulfill the promise of learning for every child. Previously, Solheim held the position of Executive Vice President at Karsten Manufacturing Corporation, a leading golf equipment manufacturer. Solheim directed the company's computer operations where he applied industrial engineering techniques to improve production and perfected many of the efficient processes that now give Teacher's Pal's software its unique capabilities. Prior to joining Karsten Manufacturing, Solheim spent 12 years at IBM. He trained at the IBM Systems Research Institute and then progressed through the company as a developer of software products and programming languages. Solheim studied at the Clarkston College of Technology in Potsdam, NY and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wyoming. Dr. Monte Littell Dr. Monte Littell is the senior advisor to Teacher's Pal, Inc. and the company's primary customer liaison. Dr. Littell is responsible for aligning Teacher's Pal capabilities with the daily needs of educators as we endeavor to deliver the most useful, most powerful, integrated platform of educational tools and resources. Dr. Littell comes to Teacher's Pal after many successful years on the front lines of education management and curriculum development. His former positions include superintendent of schools, deputy superintendent, area superintendent, and assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in both urban and rural school districts in Washington, Nevada, and Arizona. In those posts, Dr. Littell gained extensive experience in curriculum development, research, staff development and the implementation of district- and school-level management and accountability systems. He has been recognized for his work in increasing student achievement in four school districts through an integrated systems approach to assessment, planning, leadership development, curriculum development and instructional improvement. Prior to entering the education field, Dr. Littell worked in marketing and retailing. He will help Teacher's Pal deliver a product that is both effective for educators and successful in the marketplace. Dr. Littell holds a BA and an MA in Elementary and Secondary Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in Organization Development. Daniel Pardhe Daniel Pardhe is the Chief Technical Officer and the company's senior advisor on technology development. Mr. Pardhe is responsible for high-level technology decisions and day-to-day communications on technology production. Pardhe comes to Teacher's Pal with a highly successful background as a technology entrepreneur. His India-based company was focused on a wide range of industries including plastics, agriculture, hospitality, transportation and government. Pardhe served as director of both St. Joseph's Technical Institute and Pixel Computer Academy in Pune, India. He also acted as advisor to Pune University on the establishment of curriculum guidelines for computers and technology at the bachelors, masters and doctoral level. He served as a nationally syndicated columnist for the Indian Express on computer education and technology utilization for ten years. He also acted as a consultant to the Indian Department of Revenue Services on technology systems. Pardhe holds a Bachelors Degree in Science from the University of Poona, Pune, Maharashtra, India and has earned certifications in COBOL, BASIC and System Analysis & Design from the Computer Society of India. |
